FSC will broadcast all 16 games over the course of the 10-day tournament, which takes place from May 20-29 in Toulon, France.

The U.S. has been placed into Group B and will open the tournament against Turkey on May 21 before facing two Olympic-bound teams in Ivory Coast on May 23 and Italy on May 25.

Group A of the tournament features France along with Chile, the Netherlands and Japan. Japan and the Netherlands were both drawn into Group D at the Olympic Games along with the USA and Nigeria. The top two teams in each group will advance to the semifinals on May 27, and either the third-place match or final on May 29.

The eight-team tournament, usually designated as an Under-21 event, will feature the Under-23 squads from Chile and the five teams who will compete in the 2008 Olympic Games from August 6-23 in China. The remaining two teams – France and Turkey – will be represented by their Under-21 squads.

U.S. head coach Peter Nowak will name a 20-player roster for the tournament later this week on ussoccer.com.

Overall, the U.S. has made seven previous trips to the invitation-only event, with their most recent appearance dating back to 2001 when the team finished in fifth place. In 1989 the team finished in a best-ever third place, and in 1994, 1997 and 2001 received the Fair Play Award. Josh Wolff is the only American to earn an individual award at the tournament, earning the Golden Boot by scoring five goals in 1997, outscoring future World Cup winner Thierry Henry.

The U.S. will be participating in its 13th Olympic Games on the Men’s side, earning their place by advancing to the final of CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying in March. The Americans finished the tournament with a 3-1-1 record, with their only loss coming to Honduras in overtime of the championship match. Both teams had already secured their ticket to Beijing, the United States defeating Canada in one semifinal while Honduras ousted Guatemala in the other.

Hopefully lines will be up on these games at more than just a couple of books.

US Men's U23 roster should be named soon for Toulon...but it looks to be a diluted roster.
